Hiking in the Surroundings of Radovljica

A combination of wonderful nature and a wealth of heritage.

Hiking is one of the most popular among the numerous types of outdoor activities. There is a wide choice of trails that vary according to their difficulty, gradient and length. Radovljica and its surroundings offer surprisingly amazing views. After just a half-hour's hike uphill you will be rewarded by exceptional views over the Radovljica plains and Bled.

Easy theme trails lead through forests, across flowering meadows and alongside watercourses. Hiking trails lead to the mountain pastures and peaks of the Jelovica plateau and the Karavanke mountains. Short strolls are an ideal way to see some of the attractions in the countryside. Triglav National Park is within easy reach and can be visited from various directions.

Hiking trails in the surroundings of the town of Radovljica beckon throughout the year. In early spring snowdrops and primroses grow along the trails, while in places the pungent aroma of wild garlic can be smelt. Later, the aroma of meadow flowers fills the air. Seek respite from the summer heat beside rivers and streams, while the treetops provide shade from the sun's rays. In autumn you will be inspired by the colourful leaves and can enjoy gathering the fruits of the season. In winter the calm landscape beckons one to get active outdoors.
