Hiking in the Surroundings of Radovljica

An intertwinement of nature and heritage.

Radovljica and its surroundings offers wonderful and surprising views. After just a half-hour's hike you will be rewarded by exceptional views of the Radovljica Plains and Bled.

Easy theme paths lead through forests, across flowering meadows and besides watercourses. Hiking trails will lead you to mountain pastures and the peaks of the Karavanke mountains and the Jelovica plateau. Take a stroll to visit some of the sites of interest in the countryside. Triglav National Park is close by and can be reached from various directions.

Hiking trails await all year-round. In early spring snowdrops and primroses grow along the trails, whilst in places the smell of wild garlic is in the air. Later the paths are awash with the scent of meadow flowers. In hot summers seek the cool by rivers and streams, whilst tree canopies offer pleasant shade. In autumn the colourful leaves are a wonder of nature and one can enjoy gathering autumn fruit, whilst in winter there are fairytale snowy landscapes to savour.
