To PLANICA 2023 from Radol'ca

From 21st February to 5th March 2023, Planica will be the venue for the biggest sports event in Slovenia's history. The opening ceremony will take place on 21st February at 8.23pm (20.23h) in Kranjska Gora, followed by eleven days of sports events and entertainment in the valley beneath Ponca. During that time, competitors will compete in three disciplines – cross-country skiing, ski jumping, and Nordic combined. The finale will take place on 5th March with a 50km cross-country ski race for men and the closing ceremony.

Kranjska Gora: The centre for socialising for all sports fans, the opening ceremony and spectacular evening prize-giving events.

Planica: Fans will be able to watch at least two competitions per day, a variety of live music and other accompanying events.

VISIT PLANICA FROM RADOVLJICA

Thanks to its excellent location and public transport connections, Radovljica makes an excellent base for those going to the events in Kranjska Gora and Planica. It takes cca. 40 minutes to reach the event venues. ACCOMMODATION FOOD AND DRINK WINTER IN RADOL'CA

BY CAR, BUS OR FREE TRANSFER

The event will be organised sustainably, therefore entrance to the sports paradise beneath Ponca will be restricted to a limited number of vehicles of competing teams and media broadcasters. Visitors arriving by car will be able to park in designated car parks (Kranjska Gora, Rateče, Podkoren), from where free transfers will be available to and from the entrance point to the valley at the roundabout in Ratece. It is also possible to travel to Kranjska Gora from Radovljica by bus; one bus per hour. The price of a one-way bus ticket is EUR 5.20. Free travel by train from anywhere in Slovenia (including Radovljica) to Jesenice will also be available, from where passengers can take a free bus transfer to the entrance point to Planica. Take a look at the timetable and arrange your free return ticket. Note: these benefits may only be taken advantage of upon presentation of an entrance ticket to the event.

The price of daily tickets ranges between EUR 15 and 64 euros for standing.

Children between the ages of 7 and 14 are entitled to 50% discount.

Children up to the age of six can watch the event free on charge.
