Castles and Mansions in Radovljica and the Surroundings

Walk through the ruins of castles, drink coffee in the shelter of a renaissance mansion or listen to a concert in a luxurious baroque hall.

In the past Radolca's castles and mansions were visited and inhabited by the Counts of Ortenburg, Celje and Podvin, the noble Lamberghs, the counts Thurn-Valssasina and many others. Distinguished testaments to the past, exceptional architecture and luxury can be seen in the countryside and in the medieval town centre of Radovljica.

Hiking trails lead to Kamen Castle and Lipnica Castle. According to legend, still today a snake with a golden crown is said to slither over Lipnica Castle where it waits for its prince. Kamen Castle was the home of the famous tournament knight Gašper Lambergar.
