Natural Attractions in Radovljica and the Surroundings

"Is there a more beautiful land than the land that is our home?", sang the pioneer of Slovenian popular folk music, Slavko Avsenik

The beautiful nature that surrounds Begunje na Gorenjskem was the inspiration for numerous songs by the Avsenik Ensemble. On the other side of the Radovljica plains are the Sava river valley and the Lipnica valley, whilst above the valley is the forested Jelovica plateau.

In Radol'ca and on its outskirts there are countless spots offering wonderful views over Gorenjska, the Julian Alps and Bled. Among them are St. Peter's church and the Smokuški vrh peak beneath the Karavanke mountains, Jamnik and Tale┼ż on the Jelovica plateau, and Lipnica Castle above the Lipnica Valley.

Head on up and enjoy the views of beautiful Gorenjska!
