The start of the 100 kilometre trail run will take place in Radovljica.
From 25th – 27th September trail runners will gather in Kranjska Gora for the second year-in-a-row. Experienced endurance runners can test themselves over distances of 170km, 100km and 65km, while beginners and/or those with less experience can choose one of the less technically demanding and shorter 10km, 15km, or 30km trails.
For the first time Radovljica will also play a part in the competition, as the start point of the 100km Ultra Sky Trail route. On 25th September runners will set off from the old town centre of Radovljica then continue past famous Lake Bled and across the picturesque peaks in the Upper Sava valley to reach the finish line in Kranjska Gora.
Registrations are now being accepted. Find out more about the competition on the Julian Alps Trail Run website.
The trail, which runs along hills with magnificent views and through quaint villages on the edge of Triglav National Park, combines the natural and cultural heritage of the Julian Alps.
The heart and soul of Radovljica is Linhart Square which inspires with the variety and authenticity of its preserved architecture.
