Decorating Lectar Honeybread Hearts

This traditional Slovenian craft lives on in the old town centre of Radovljica. You will be won over by the aroma of authentic Lectar honeybread hearts, made in the cellar of Gostilna Lectar in Linhart Square. The Lectar honeybread workshop is also a museum, in which you can watch how they are made and see the old machinery and equipment used to bake and decorate the honeybreads. There is also a collection of centuries-old honeybread products.

Honeybreads are still made in the traditional way and according to old recipes in the Lectar Workshop. For small or larger groups, upon prior arrangement, workshops can be arranged in which participants can decorate honeybread hearts. In the past, these hearts were a popular gift given to each other by lovers and family members.
