Whilst the Radovljica Chocolate Festival won't be going ahead this year, we are pleased to be able to announce this year's winning chocolate and chocolate bar.
The judging of this year's 'Best Chocolate' and 'Best Chocolate Bar' took place at the company Zotter in Austria. Josef Zotter, the owner and founder of the exceptionally successful chocolatier Zotter, as well as Bastjan Puhan, the main technologist at Zotter, judged the entries based on their originality, appearance, taste and technical execution.
Five chocolatiers submitted chocolates and chocolate bars for assessment:
In their final evaluation, Zotter and Puhan praised the efforts and hard work of the chocolatiers, whilst the famous chocolatier also gave concrete advice to the chocolatiers on how to improve their chocolate products. Josef Zotter also showed his readiness to cooperate in such a manner in the future, since he is aware of the meaning of raising the quality of chocolates and chocolate bars and is also prepared to help Slovenian chocolatiers in this respect.

Unfortunately this year's Radovljica Chocolate Festival has been cancelled, however, that doesn't mean we have to go without chocolate. Below you can find some chocolate recipes that you can make at home, which have been provided by chefs from Taste Radol'ca restaurants.
In light of the current situation, the Radovljica Public Institute for Tourism and Culture has taken the decision to cancel this year's Radovljica Chocolate Festival, which was due to take place from 17-19 April 2020.
