Art propolis, art exhibition

An exhibition of works by Branko Cušin Snr. produced using beeswax

Art Propolis are works of art created using bee propolis. The artist, Branko Cušin, used propolis to paint on wood. By using this special technique he has created a unique way of paying homage to bees.

At the exhibition in the Beekeeping Education Centre of Gorenjska in Lesce, the majority of works are bee themed, with portraits of beekeepers and artists who have included bees in their works.

In 2003 Branko Cušin received a bronze award at the World Beekeeping Congress.

The exhibition has been created in co-operation with the Koroška Bela Parish Association and the Cušin family as part of the Honey Festival and Day of Honey in Cuisine, taking place on 22nd September.

The exhibition is on view until 22nd October 2018.
