In addition to the black kitchen, the house, which stands next to St. Trinity's church, has a preserved traditional layout with a central living area – and small rooms on the ground and first floors. On the first floor, where there was previously a flat for the chaplain, there are also preserved fragments of wall paintings.

On the ground floor of the sextons' house there is a museum exhibition. In the old, wide corridor, there is a display of the famous men of Kamna Gorica: the politicians Dr. Lovro Toman and Dr. Lovro Pogačnik, the painters Matevž Langus and Ivan Varl, and the Kappus pl Pichlstain family. The exhibits in the other areas tell stories of interest from life in Kamna Gorica in the past and today, and about the work of the chaplain, sextons and organists who once lived and worked in the house.

From the sextons' house a beautiful view extends across the old village centre of Kamna Gorica.
